Tom Crean and his Indiana Hoosiers staff received a huge commitment over the weekend from 6-7 Troy Williams of the Boo Williams All-Stars and Mouth of Wilson, VA Oak Hill Academy. He chose the Hoosiers on Sunday, but it was Coaqch Crean who sealed the deal according to his AAU Coaqch Boo Williams.

“Tom Crean made this happen,” Williams’ Uncle and AAU Coach Boo Williams explained. “Not many coaches could come in and beat Carolina for a player of Troy’s abilities, but Coach Crean convinced Troy he was the right coach for him.”

Troy Williams is an explosive and long wing man who can score with his jumper to the arc or attack the rim off the dribble and finish with Big Time hops at the hoop. He has quicks and length to become a stellar defender. He can guard the two to four spots and is made for up tempo game that Hoosiers are looking to play under Crean’s tutelage.

He chose Indiana over North Carolina, Ohio State, and Louisville.

He joins 6-9 Luke Fischer, 6-7 Devin Davis, 6-6 Colin Hartman, and 6-3 Stanford Robinson in a deep and athletic Indiana Class of 2013!
