According to a tweet from Brewster Academy Head Coach Jason Smith, the Ohio State Buckeyes are among the six finalists
for 6-9 power forward Kyle Washington.

Coach Smith tweeted this on 9/16:

In a tweet from earlier this month, Smith wrote “6 schools remain in the mix for 6-9 Kyle Washington: N.C. State, Ohio State, Washington, Marquette, Louisville & Iowa State”

The Cyclones have been really busy on the recruiting trail, already adding three commitments this fall, and they have made the final cut with another top one hundred talent, in our No.69 rated senior, Kyle Anderson who is prepping at Wolfeboro, NH Brewster Academy.

Washington is originally from Minnesota and he played with the Minneapolis based Howard Pulley Panthers in the Nike EYBL this past spring. He is an athletic big who can face up at the four spot and attack the rim with solid ball skills and great bounce. He’s wiry strong and has tools to finish versus contact in the paint. He can set up dribble drive with a more
than adequate jumper from 17-feet, that keeps defenders off balance. An advantage his length and quickness are built to exploit. He has ability to block shots from help side and is quick enough to shut opposing bigs down straight up in face-up situations.

Washington has narrowed his list through on campus visits at Brewster, we will continue to follow his recruitment as he looks to take visits this coming month, at XOFan.com.
