Lorenzo Woodley Plans Official Visit to Purdue
Miami (Fla.) Columbus running back Lorenzo Woodley is one of the premier backs in south Florida. The 6’0, 200-pound athlete caught up with XOFan.com to discuss the latest.
“Nothing new,” Woodley said about recruiting. “No new offers.” He holds offers from over a dozen colleges and three are standing out at the moment, “Purdue, Vanderbilt and Pittsburgh.”
The Purdue Boilermakers have room on their roster for a young running back to come and make an impact.
“I think it’s a good situation for me,” Woodley said. “It’s looking good because they have two senior running backs that will be graduating this year. They play in a big conference and they are a big-time academic school. I am taking a visit November 2nd to see them when they play Penn State.
“I just want to see the school and get a good standpoint of the school in person. I want to see if I will actually be happy on campus and happy with the environment and campus lifestyle. That is the whole point of the visit to get a glimpse of the atmosphere to see if I like it.”
When Woodley does decide on which college to attend, it will come down to compatibility. “If I find a school that meets all of my expectations, that is the school that I will end up going to.”
